Weighing Obligations

First off, sign this petition! It's an anti-Stupak petition. Your signature tells Congress that you will not allow them to disregard women's health during healthcare reform.

As I've mentioned a few times before, I'm thinking about going somewhere warm and Spanish-speaking for January, when I won't have any classes at Hamline. However, I now realize that I've thoroughly entrenched myself in life here in Saint Paul-- through Planned Parenthood Teen Council, the Interfaith Youth Leadership Coalition, and, soon, mentoring a 5th grader at a local elementary school.

I'm really not one for quitting in the middle of things (unless that thing is Nordic skiiing freshmen year), or shirking on my obligations. But I'm also really not for being in Minnesota for another 31 days of snot-freezing, hypothermia-inducing cold weather. So, shit. My current thought is that perhaps this trip would make more sense in the summer, when I'm generally obligation-free. We'll see.
