So, for the Cross Country team's last shebang, we're all (all, in this case, meaning the 12 of us who wanted to go) piling into vans and heading down to Sioux Falls for the Nike Regionals race. It should be extra fun-- kind of like a slumber party, plus eight hours of driving and a 5k race. More like a roadtrip with the CC team, I guess.
Other excitement has been fairly minimal. I'm now a member of the YPulse Youth Advisory Board, which should be interesting. YPulse, as far as I can figure, is a market research/trend-following organization that gives its information to marketing companies so that they can tell their clients (big companies) how best to market to youth. I have no idea what my role will be, but I'll post an update when I have a clue.
In the "of course they do" category goes this new piece of web information: Up until this past Thursday (when it was discovered by the media) the Republican National Committee's healthcare plan covered abortions. Naturally. Now, the brilliant Michael Steele has resolved to strip this perfectly sensible coverage from the women of his committee. You go, Michael Steele. You know what's best.
And just a little something about his past actions, for fun.

Poor Michael Steele is scrambling and backtracking yet again. Good thing he's got a crackerjack coach:
